Job description
At NFU Mutual, we’re more than just an insurance organisation – we’re a comprehensive financial services provider dedicated to supporting our customers’ financial wellbeing. Our Financial Services teams offer tailored solutions that help clients navigate their financial journeys with confidence. With clear, trusted advice and top-notch customer service, we empower our customers to create solid financial plans that reflect their unique circumstances now and, in the future.
Our Financial Services teams are at the forefront of this mission! The Operations team is all about keeping things running smoothly, managing our pension, investment, and protection products from the moment a customer signs up through to policy maturity. Our Financial Advisors love getting to know our customers, helping them find the right life insurance, pension, investment, and wealth management products that fit their needs. And our Governance and Risk team is here to make sure everything runs efficiently and safely, implementing smart processes and keeping us on track with regulatory guidelines.
As a graduate, you’ll find yourself in the thick of our Financial Services action. The three-year scheme will see you rotate through each of our teams, gaining valuable insight and hands-on experience. These rotations will help you develop a diverse skillset while also giving you the chance to discover which area sparks your interest most.
What you can expect
In your first twelve months, you’ll kick off your journey with our Head Office Teams where you’ll learn the ropes of engaging with customers and handling their enquiries. This is the perfect starting point to get to know our customers, products, and processes. After that, you’ll spend some time on the road supporting our Sales Managers with lead generation and even have the chance to work in one of our local branches, shadowing a Financial Advisor to see what the role is all about. Just a heads up – there’ll be ad-hoc travel involved during the first year!
Throughout the scheme, you’ll also gain experience in various departments to get a feel for the Financial Services strategy. In your final year, you’ll step into the role of a Non-Advised Sales Consultant, reaching out to NFU Mutual customers to discuss our Financial Services offerings. This fast-paced role will sharpen your sales skills and deepen your product knowledge—a fantastic foundation if you’re looking to become a Financial Advisor.
