Work & Reward Internship Consulting Programme

Job description

Joining us for eight weeks, you’ll build invaluable real-world experience at the heart of our W&R business. You’ll work with and learn from our expert consultants, while:

  • Developing your consulting, practical and technical skills on our intern training programme
  • Applying your education to a range of challenging and complex live projects
  • Gaining experience in working with clients and supporting colleagues
  • Analysing data, drawing conclusions and presenting your findings
  • Building your understanding of the work we do and the future opportunities we offer

The work we do in W&R is challenging and hugely varied, so you could find yourself involved in important projects such as:

  • Guiding organisations on their pay transparency journey, conducting pay equity analytics and creating strategies to address areas of concern
  • Collaborating with our Data & Analytics team to provide clients with market pay benchmarking and strategic insights
  • Reviewing executive pay design to ensure pay programmes are competitive for the most senior employees
  • Developing pay philosophies, principles and salary-structure designs that help clients balance internal equity and external competitiveness
  • Using data analytics and financial trends to help companies understand and qualify their compensation strategies
  • Helping clients to optimise their total rewards programmes, considering both employee preferences and costs
  • Drawing on our data science capabilities to provide clients with insights into current and future skills in their markets
  • Designing and implementing job levelling, job architecture and career framework solutions that will unlock employee career journeys for our clients
  • Reviewing and improving our clients’ approach to performance management

Workstyles

We’re open to hybrid working for this role, which means blending working at home and in the office, (with the first week being full time in the office due to training requirements), collaborating with and learning from the people around you.

What we are looking for

  • Curious and eager to learn new skills and contribute
  • Good with numbers and comfortable working with data
  • An excellent communicator who knows how to collaborate effectively
  • Keen to solve challenging technical problems
  • In your penultimate year at university
  • On course to achieve a 2:1 degree
