This 24 to 36 month programme is both an opportunity to make an impact and your first step towards a lasting career within our CRB team. Working with and learning from some of the market’s leading experts, you’ll:
- Build your skills through both on-the-job and structured training
- Be supported to study for your Level 4 Insurance Professional Apprenticeship, whilst gaining the highly valued Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Insurance
- Build relationships with clients as well as colleagues
- Support and contribute to a wide variety of complex client projects

Global Aviation and Space:
Our experts work with airlines, airports, aerospace companies, general aviation clients and the space industry, providing innovative solutions for a wide range of risks.
Global Financial Solutions:
This is where we create value for clients such as international banks, commodity traders and export credit agencies. We provide balance sheet protection, improved returns on transactions and relief of country and counterparty aggregation limits.
Global FINEX:
With experts in Financial, Executive and Professional risks, we provide tailored risk management solutions in areas including cyber, employment practices and mergers and acquisitions.
Global Direct & Facultative:
This team helps our clients access the global reinsurance market to transfer risk across a number of products. They ensure the right risk to the right market by the right broker, every time.
Global Marine:
Drawing on decades of experience, this team offers global expertise across four business units: Shipping and Maritime Industries, Special Risks, Specie, and Global Asset Protection.
Global Natural Resources:
We support organisations and industries at the forefront of the energy transition. From renewable energy and utilities to power and mining, we help the sector leaders make future-ready decisions.
Strategic Sales & Industry:
This business-development team focuses on driving and supporting cross-selling opportunities across CRB and the wider company – helping us grow the relationships we have with our clients and the difference we make for them.
Global Crisis Management
Special Contingency Risks help clients manage the safety and security of their people. We work with everyone from non-governmental organisations and privately held companies, focusing on risks including piracy, kidnap and ransom and emergency evacuation. Whilst Alert:24 is our in-house security risk advisory and crisis management service. The team provides 24/7 security and crisis support to clients, as well as consultancy and training to our colleagues.

Our CRB business is one of the world’s largest insurance brokers and risk advisory firms. We help clients ranging from small businesses to multinationals to understand, assess and manage their risks. Our experts collaborate around the world to provide our clients with a broader perspective, data-led insight and exceptional service. This is important and fascinatingly diverse work, and you’ll help us deliver it.
Requirements:
Everyone in the team will be there to help you learn and grow throughout your time on the apprenticeship programme, particularly while you’re studying for your CII qualification. To transform your tomorrow with WTW, you’ll need to be:
- A-Level qualified or equivalent
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with colleagues and clients
- Detail and client focused
- Able to work with and analyse data
- Motivated, organised and ready to make a real contribution from day one
- Computer literate, ideally with some understanding of MS Word and Excel
Workstyles
We’re open to hybrid working for this role. This means blending working at home with at least four days in the office, learning from experienced colleagues and getting to know your fellow apprentices.

Training
Over the course of 24-36 months, alongside the responsibilities of your role, you will also complete a programme of study which will be a combination of assignments, coursework and exams. Whilst WTW and the selected government approved training provider, will equip you with all of the materials required, six hours per week to focus on your studies, and the support of a tutor, you will need to ensure that you are meeting all key milestones set out at the beginning of your apprenticeship and achieving the standards required, both academically and in your role. Further information on the apprenticeship will be provided post offer; however, we encourage you to research the requirements of the apprenticeship standard in advance of your interview.
