Living in Swansea – The City with a Big Personality

Not everyone can say that the beach is right on their doorstep, but Swansea students can. We are a dual-campus university, with Bay Campus that has its own beachfront, and Singleton Campus which is situated by the beach, surrounded by mature parklands, and just a short walk away from the vibrant city centre. You’ll be sure to make the most of your student experience while studying at Swansea.

But postgraduate study isn’t just about academics — it’s about finding the right environment where you can thrive. Swansea has recently been named the safest city for students in Wales and 7th overall across the UK (Complete University Guide 2024). Swansea offers not only a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, but also peace of mind for both UK and international students (and parents). You’ll join a vibrant and inclusive community, with dedicated support to help you settle in and succeed.

Postgraduate Scholarships and Bursaries

We know that funding your studies is an important consideration. That’s why we offer a wide range of scholarships and bursaries to support both UK and international postgraduate students. Whether you’re applying for a taught master’s or research programme, you could be eligible for financial support that helps you make the most of your time at Swansea.

How Can a Postgraduate Degree Benefit My Career?

  • Intellectual reward—if you're passionate about a particular subject area and want to broaden your knowledge, a postgraduate degree may be for you
