Students holding one of the following degrees can apply for the MSc in Management of Energy Transitions:

  • Admission in Year 1: 3-year Bachelor's degree
  • Admission in Year 2: 4-year Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree

You can apply while being enrolled in the last year of the degree that makes you eligible for this program.

Course content

The MSc in Management of Energy Transitions at emlyon business school is a comprehensive 24-month program designed to equip students with the technological and managerial skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving energy landscape.

The program offers a deep dive into diverse energy solutions - wind, solar, nuclear, fossil fuels and hydrogen - while covering key topics such as battery storage, carbon capture and energy market economics. In the second year, students refine their strategic and practical skills in energy transition management, focusing on climate tech entrepreneurship, innovative business models, and international policy. Through case studies and hands-on learning, they gain the expertise to drive sustainable innovation. What makes this program unique is its seamless blend of technical knowledge and business acumen.

Students graduating from the program are prepared for employment in a variety of organizations, including SME's, government bodies, NGO's and consultancies. Career opportunities include roles such as project developer, energy auditor or market analyst. Graduates may also pursue careers in large energy corporations, financial institutions specializing in green finance, or innovative energy transition start-ups.

2-year course (entry in Y1): €34,900

The tuition fees over two years breaks down as follows:

  • 1st year (Y1): €13,750
  • 2nd year (Y2): €21,150

1-year course (entry in Y2): €26,900
