This is your opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of pupils from the most disadvantaged backgrounds. Right from the outset. Before you start in the classroom you will receive five weeks of intensive training, getting you ready to begin teaching from September. You will be employed by the same school for the two years of the programme. During this time you will receive constant support from Teach First as well as your in-school mentor. By the end of your first year, you will have received your PGCE and earned qualified teacher status.
On the programme you’ll:

You will:
- Spend time learning transferable skills with our range of experts
- Attend personal development and leadership skills sessions
- Discover what it’s like to teach, including planning and delivering your own mini lesson
- Receive personalised one-to-one feedback
Tasters run on Tuesday 28 October, Wednesday 5 November (virtual), and Saturday 8 November, and run from 10:00 – 17:30.
