About Menzies

Menzies is a leading UK business advisory and accountancy firm with international reach. We help accelerate your ambition, with a proven track record supporting both businesses and individuals to successfully reach their goals.

We focus on optimising our clients financially, operationally and strategically across Audit, Tax & Compliance, Accounts Advisory, Financial Planning and Transaction Services. Our 10-sector specialist teams work with Menzies experts in Strategic Business Advisory, International Expansion, Outsourced Services and Financial Planning, to create value and transition clients to the next stage in their journey.

A career at Menzies means joining an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative team. There will be many opportunities to grow and develop your career from day one, not only with your particular service line but as a potential sector specialist too.

Menzies isn’t just a leading firm of accountants, finance, and business advisors—we’re a community of passionate professionals dedicated to excellence, balance, and cultivating a vibrant workplace culture. With offices strategically positioned across Surrey, Hampshire, London, Hertfordshire and Cardiff, we offer our clients not only easy access but also the benefit of local insights, ensuring tailored solutions that truly make a difference.

What can we offer?

We offer a personable, friendly and supportive training experience, including expert guidance and tuition, as well as a coherent approach to work experience. But don’t just take our word for it, hear from one of our placement students about how they’ve found working at Menzies.

How about skipping Uni in favour of gaining professional qualification? Whilst many Menzies trainees are graduates, every year we also accept applicants who have previously studied to college level, to complete the AAT fast-track (association of accounting technicians) qualification.

We pay all the costs towards your professional exams. This includes training courses, manuals, textbooks and examination fees for first sitting. Whilst you are studying for your professional qualification, you will provided with paid study leave to attend courses and exams, and we pay for your training manuals and textbooks for the first sitting, this is in addition to your 23.5 days annual holiday.

Once you qualify, you can look forward to excellent career prospects, so that – we hope – you will choose to develop your career with us. Take a look at our latest job listings from across our offices.

What do we look for?

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy a challenge. You don’t have to be a maths genius but it’s important you are confident with numbers and have good attention to detail. You’ll often need to explain complex financial information, so you’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills.

For our Graduate Apprenticeship roles, we welcome applicants with a minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline.

For our AAT School Leaver roles, we look for 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent 5 GCSEs grades A*- C or 9-4 (Maths and English Language preferred) or equivalent.

If that sounds like you then you could be a great fit at Menzies.
